Bridal Alchemy is an owner operated bridal design studio located in Jukskei Park Johannesburg. We have been in the industry since 2009, and we have amassed a vast body of work over the years. Everything that we do stems from our core operational values which is to aspire to exceed client expectations through hard work, and the constant pursuit of excellence. Our team comprises of a variety of specialists who all have an intimate understanding of fashion design as it relates to the wedding industry.

Our service offering

We are best known for our custom design capabilities. To that end we are able to offer our customers exactly what they want without the need to compromise in any way. We offer a variety of payment options that are designed to accommodate the bride’s budgeting requirements. Please note that we also own and operate a fully integrated e-commerce store through which we sell a variety of bridesmaids dresses - among other things. How we work

We offer free design consults as well as free after purchase alterations. All you need to do to request a free appointment, is to go to the “Contact” tab in the above menu and complete the form that we have provided. If the timeslot that you have requested is available, then we will reply with an appointment confirmation. If someone else has already booked the slot that you wanted, then we will propose the next available timeslot in our diary.

Our intimate home based studio was designed with your privacy and comfort in mind. It should be noted that we only ever see one bride at a time.

What to expect during your first consult?

We keep a selection of off-the-rack dresses which we use for design inspiration. These dresses are used to give our brides an insight on which dress shapes might best work on their respective body types. Once this is decided, then we will initiate the design process which will include a digital sketch of the various elements that the bride wanted. Our designer will also show the bride an assortment of fabrics and discuss what is, as well as what is not possible in terms of her design choices. The bride will not be required to pay anything for the design consult or the dress fittings.

What happens after your consult?

We normally take a day or two after your appointment to offer you a formal quote. This will be emailed to you. Your quote will have a detailed breakdown of the payment options that we offer. This will include a deposit amount, followed with incremental payment options of the balance of your quote. If you should choose NOT to use our services, then you will not be expected to pay anything at all.

Will you be surprised by any hidden costs?

No, you will not have to worry about any additional costs as it pertains to your wedding dress. It is very important to note that, prior to your final fit and collect, that we generally offer 3 rounds of fine tuning alterations on your wedding dress. We do this because we want your dress to fit you like a glove. You will not be charged for these alterations.
